This collection shows a more mature side of me—music rooted in my mental-health struggles and the self-damaging choices that hurt me physically and emotionally, and placed strain on the people who stood by me with patience and kindness. These songs are about healing and making amends, and I hope they offer comfort to anyone who needs a reminder to be gentle with themselves. The idea of an equinox—day and night in balance—guides this project. I want it to feel like the warm blanket you reach for as the leaves fall and winter approaches: something that helps you stay kind to yourself, so you have the strength to love others.

If My Violin Had Words is a collection of songs born from violin melodies that once existed without lyrics. These were pieces I played knowing exactly what they meant to me, but they were harder to read as instrumentals — so these new songs combine sampled fragments with lyrics close to my heart: memory, longing, survival, love, escape and home. The project imagines what those melodies would become if they finally had a voice. Each track turns a sample from my violin tunes into a song — sometimes cinematic, sometimes intimate, sometimes painful, sometimes hopeful. Together they move through old streets, locked rooms, seaside sunsets, Duino memories, beautiful disguises, and nights I almost didn’t make it through. At its heart, this album is about giving words to feelings that lived first in sound.
