Choirs from Europe and North-American perform Tobias at Lincoln Center


Esto-Atlantis Concert: A Centennial Celebration of Independence in a Singing Nation presents the rich heritage and inheritance of Estonian choral music.

The concert will unite Estonians across distance, with choirs coming together from Europe and North-America to form the global choir of Esto-Atlantis. Uniting Estonians across time by drawing together four generations of Estonian music in one family. The performance will feature sacred selections by composer Rudolf Tobias (1873-1918); Reekviem and folk arrangements by his daughter, composer Helen Tobias-Duesberg (1919-2010); with granddaughter Maaja Roos (1945 -) conducting and great-granddaughter, alto Leila Roos (1986 -), singing.
